Anime rant time. Who else hates the anime pity party? Hands?
I know we've all seen this. There's always that villain with the sob story that leaves you unable to hate him (ex: Pain - Naruto Shippuuden). There's that character that's so unfortunate, you just want to sling your arm around him and take him out to coffee (a comment from TeapotDomeScam on my picture of Naoya from Night Head Genesis). And then there's the one you love so much -- who gets killed off by the end (ex: Toboe - Wolf's Rain).
I guess this little device is successful. 'Cause I see it A LOT. And I HATE it -- 'cause it gets me every time. XD
