A samurai and some Amazons.

Before I show you guys my first anime drawing attempts, I want to let you guys know that I actually began drawing animal comics. I don't have any of the originals because I think my mom threw them all away. I remember I had done a cat comic that was almost 12 pages long, and then boom it vanished. I never found it, that's why I think my mom threw it away. :(
Back in 6th grade I actually use to draw something like this:

That drawing is just sort of a remake of what I use to draw before anime. I was really inspired by the cartoon animals from Disney, Looney Tunes ect... XD
Around 2002 Inuyasha aired on Adult swim and that was around the time that I got into anime and began drawing anime. I was already aware of anime like Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon and Pokemon, but it was Inuyasha that really inspired me as a kid.
Here is what my first anime drawing kind of looked like:

These attempts have animal attributes to them like cat ears and nose, mostly because I didn't know how to draw people. I thought it was okay, because Inuyasha had dog ears (but at the time I thought they were cat ears. oTL)

This group of characters were inspired by Inuyasha, Kenshin and Sailor Moon. Around this time I also got into manga and I got my first Shonen jump:LINK and I still have it! XD
To practice drawing anime, I would eyeball characters in my shonen jump.
