Before I met Dino Cavallone...I was in a very dark place, and had gone through a series of misfortunes, my life was horribly gray with nothing but sorrows, my heart had been broken many times and I felt utterly abandoned in this world. That changed when Dino came by and took me out to lunch. Now my life has changed and I can say that I have regained some happiness.
Let me tell you about the time Dino saved me.
It was a normal night for me. Dino and I were to go and see a ballet. Well, more like I dragged him along with me. Little did we know that there was trouble lurking around the corner.
“Oh what a wonderful ballet! The dancers really put some magic into it.” I said in awe.
“Yeah it was very good....but horribly sad at the same time. Why did Odette and Siegfried have to kill themselves?” Dino asked.
“Well....Not all stories can have a perfect fairy tale end... can they? Life is not like that...so how can we expect all fiction to do so?”
“You have a point.”Dino chuckled.
“Thank you~” I said smiling at him.
Dino reached out his hand and took mine, leading me down the street.
“OH!”
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I forgot my purse. I’ll be right back. Wait here!”
I dashed off before he could protest. In no time I had retrieved my purse and was heading back. Sadly...there was danger ahead.
“Excuse me, miss?”
I looked up and saw a guy in a suit.
“Hm?” I asked looking at him.
“I’m on of Dino’s men...He went ahead....He had business to do, so he asked me to escort him home.”
I starred at him.
“I don’t think so. I can walk home....or call a taxi.” I said walking away.
“But miss! It was orders!”
I stopped and looked at him.
“Well...You can tell Dino that I made it home fine without his help.”
*click*
The man pointed a gun at me.
“Get in the car.”he growled.
I could feel my face lose it’s color as he forced me into the back seat of the car.
“What is the meaning of this?!” I demanded as he sat in the passenger seat and his friend drove us away.
“You’re friends with Dino Cavallone correct?”
I blinked.
“Well I guess you could sa-”
“That’s why.”
D: HE WAS SO RUDE......v.v
The two men took me to a warehouse....where? I don’t know...But it was very lonely...waiting to see what would happen. I glanced around and sighed. There really was no way out....
Suddenly I hear a cracking sound and cried of pain.
“CHERO?! Can you hear me?” I heard Dino call.
“DINO?! Over here!”
Dino hurried over and offered his hand.
“Hold my hand tightly...We’re going to run for it.”
I nodded and took his hand.
“Ready?....GO!”
We ran. Dino battled our way out and I thought we were in the clear when the large man who forced me into the car showed up.
“Stop right there!”
“Are you challenging me?” Dino asked.
“What if I am?”
“Big mistake. Chero...get behind me.”
I did what he said as he cracked his whip.
The man charged Dino. I closed my eyes. I heard another crack and a groan. I opened my eyes and the man was on the ground, out cold. Dino grabbed my hand and tugged me along once more.
Finally we made it to safety.
“Are you ok?” he asked me.
“I’m fine...”I said.
“Boy I could go for a nice day of relaxation.” he joked.
I giggled and smiled.
“Thank you....You’re my hero.”
“You’re welcome.”
“I’m confused though...”
“What is it?”
“I thought....I thought you were only good at battle when your family is in danger or when they are around...”
Dino looked at me and smiled.
“That’s because...I consider you a part of my family now...Chero...”
I felt myself blush.
“Heh...You’re blushing~”
“AM NOT!”
“Are too!”
I flailed my arms and tried to hit him.
He laughed and moved out of the way, leaving me behind, his hands behind his head.
“HEY! Wait up!” I cried hurrying after him.
“Then don’t be so slow!”
And that ladies and gents.....is how Dino became my hero~ THE END
