Tearful Departure

This is a short fanfiction about Itachi and his point of view over the last few days before he became an S-class crimnal. It's kinda short.... This is for Itachi's contest.

“Itachi! Time to wake up!”

Itachi groaned as his mother’s voice awoke him from his sleep. He rolled out of bed walking passed his mother, Mikoto Uchiha.

“Morning mother....” he mumbled still half asleep.

“Good Morning Itachi.”

He nodded and headed over to the bathroom. Once he closed the door behind him he pulled off his black pajamas, tossing them in a wad on the floor.
Itachi climbed into the shower and turned on the hot water. He allowed the steam to roll over his newly defined abs and flexed his new developed muscles as he washed himself. When the soap had all washed away with the dirt and grim he turned off the water. He quickly toweled himself off until he was satisfied. Itachi then pulled on his Anbu Black Ops outfit.

Itachi walked into the kitchen where his parents and brother Sasuke were eating breakfast.

“Morning Nii-chan!” Sasuke cheered.

“Good morning Sasuke,” Itachi replied smiling at his brother.

Itachi grabbed and apple and faced his parents.

“I have to meet with the Hokage....it’s Anbu business...., so I’ll eat on my way.”

“That’s fine,” Fugaku said.

“Oh, you will eat a proper meal for lunch right?” his mother asked.

“Yes, mother.”

Itachi sat in front of the door and put his shoes on.

“Oh! Uh...Nii-chan!”

He turned to face Sasuke.

“Yes?”

“Can we train when you’re done?” Sasuke begged.

Itachi waved his brother over and poked him in the center of the small boy’s forehead.

“I’m sorry Sasuke. Maybe some other time.”
Sasuke’s face fell.

“If I end up having time we’ll train ok?”

“Ok....”

Itachi ruffled his brother’s hair and left the house.

Itachi walked along the road waving to the other Uchiha’s along the way.
He wondered what mission the Hokage was going to send him on.....Or was it that he was to find out more information about the Uchihas? Itachi was a double agent. His family, the Uchihas thought he was spying on the Hokage for them, when in reality he was spying on the Uchihas for the Hokage.

Itachi was a peace loving man and the coup that the Uchihas were planning would cause an all out war in the village. Itachi didn’t want that to happen.

“You wanted to see me, sir?” Itachi asked as he knelt in front of the Hokage.

The Third Hokage looked at the young man with sadness.

“We have a mission for you....”

“We...?”

Danzo and the two village elders entered the room.

“Itachi Uchiha..... We need you to exterminate the Uchiha clan.”

“W-what?!”

“We’ve discussed this for a while and decided this was the only solution.”
the Hokage said.

“But my family.....”

“Do you want an all out ninja war?! Tons of innocent people will die if your
clan isn’t stopped. Do you want that?!” Danzo exclaimed.

Itachi hesitated.

“No....I don’t want that.... Alright.... I’ll do it....”

“You’re dismissed.” the Hokage said.

Itachi nodded and left the room. He didn’t head straight home. Instead he went searching for the one person he knew could help him defeat the whole clan.

He approached the man wearing a mask with only one eye hole.

“Uchiha, Madara.” Itachi addressed him.

“Ah. Little Itachi. The pride of the Uchihas. You found me. What do you want?”

“I know you want revenge on our clan and I’m willing to help you get it. You
see I’ve been given the mission to destroy our clan, but I can’t do it alone.”

“You want me to help you? Gladly.”

“One condition.”

Madara sighed.

“Yes?”

“You don’t harm the other villagers.”

“Alright. You have a deal.”

“In three days we shall meet and destroy the Uchihas.....”

Madara agreed.
Itachi went home and trained with his brother for one of the last times.

Three days later it was the day of Itachi’s final mission as a Konoha ninja. He’d be a rogue after this. Considered an S-class criminal.

Itachi put his shoes on at the door.

“Nii-san! Can you teach me the shuriken jutsu today?”

Itachi turned and his heart twinged with guilt. Sasuke was standing there.

“I’m busy today. Why don’t you ask father to help you?”

“But you’re better than him at it. Even I can see that. You always treat me like a pest....”

Itachi waved his brother over and poked him in the center of his forehead.

“I’m sorry Sasuke... Maybe some other time.”

“You always do this. “Sasuke said rubbing his forehead, “You poke my forehead
and say, ‘I’m sorry Sasuke’ and you never have time.”

Itachi looked away distracted, thinking about what he had to do that night.

When the sun started to set he met up with Madara.

“You ready?” Madara asked.

Itachi nodded, taking a deep breath.

The duo went off killing members of their clan. Itachi pretended that they weren’t family and was doing well. He even killed his parents.

But then....Sasuke came home. When Itachi hadn’t found him, he hoped that Sasuke would miss the whole thing, but of course he didn’t.

Itachi couldn’t bring himself to kill Sasuke. He was so young and wasn’t involved in the Uchiha’s battle.

Itachi left Sasuke alone, leaving him a message that would one day send him on a chase after his older brother.

Itachi then met up with Madara.

“Are they all dead?” he asked Itachi.

Itachi sighed, tears in his eyes.

“I couldn’t kill Sasuke....”

“Your brother?”
Itachi nodded.

“I’d hate to be in your shoes....This means you failed the mission.”

“I know....”

“Good luck.”

Itachi met up with the Hokage wishing to speak to him before Danzo and the elders came back.

“Please sir! I know I failed my mission, but please protect Sasuke from the others. He’s only a child. He knows nothing.... Please protect my baby brother.”

Itachi was on his knees crying for his brother.

“Stand up Itachi.”

Itachi stood.

“I will protect Sasuke Uchiha for as long as I live. I promise you this..... You did a great service to the village, so I might as well grant you this one wish.”

“Thank you sir.”

When Danzo found out that Itachi failed he was furious.

But Itachi said,

“If you lay a hand on Sasuke.....I’ll leak everything I know about the village to enemy countries.”

Danzo took the threat seriously, so he begrudgingly decided not to harm Sasuke.

Itachi then left the village an S-class criminal leaving behind all he knew and loved.

I don’t understand why you put up with that brat, Lord Orochimaru.” Kabuto said pushing his glasses up his nose, “She is too kind for the Sound village and will not kill the simplest animal when we are training.” &ld...

Starting over

It's been soooo long since I actually posted....So I'm going to start over with a more than one page post. Ok? Ok....

ZOMG I'm really behind/ a whole bunch of stuff in a long post.

Wow....I really haven't posted for a while... I'm WAY ahead of when I lasted posted... When we last check Ayame was with Kabuto, who just found out Tsunade has the scroll... Ok.

After getting the scroll out of her closet, Tsunade rushed to the medical center to try to find a cure to Rai’s poison. After hard research and a lot of sweat she had created a cure. She walked into Rai’s room to give him the antidote. She gave the unconscious anbu the medicine and waited.

Rai was in a bit of pain. His head hurt and he felt dizzy. What was he doing..... He got Ayame flowers, walked out the door, saw a figure, was pricked and heard a voice that told her Ayame was in good hands.... Ayame.... She was in trouble!

Rai’s eyes finally sprung open as he sat up quickly.

“Ayame!” he shouted.

He then took in where he was, he was in the hospital and Lady Hokage was there looking at him with a worried expression.

“Lady Hokage? W-what am I doing here?” he asked.

“You were found unconscious this morning, poisoned.”

“I remember. Lady Hokage, Ayame’s in danger! This cloaked man was at my door step this morning, last thing I remember was him saying, ‘Give my regards to Tsunade and don’t worry Ayame’s in good hands now.’ Lady Hokage, I need to check on Ayame. I want, no I need to see if she’s safe.”

“Rai, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Ayame has been missing since this morning.”

“WHAT?!” he shouted, “I have to go find her. I need to make sure she’s safe, Lady Hokage I think I’m in love with this girl.”

“No, you need to stay here and rest. You just nearly died!”

“But-”

“No buts! ...Rai I understand how you feel, really I do, but we have a whole group of people out searching for Ayame and your main priority is to get better. Besides as long as we have the scroll, Orochimaru cannot touch her. He needs her to read the scroll to him. Now you get some rest.”

As soon as Tsunade left, Rai got out of bed and gathered his gear. He made his bed and left his anbu mask sitting on top of it. He wouldn’t need his mask for this mission. He climbed out the window and raced off to find Ayame.

After Tsunade left the room, she sighed leaning against the door. She did all she could to keep him there, she couldn’t stop him. She did know how he feels about Ayame, it’s how she felt about Dan and she knew how horrible it was to lose him and she didn’t want anyone else to go through that.

She went back to her office and collapsed into her chair. She lifted the large red scroll with the word forbidden on it off her desk. Who could believe one scroll could cause so much trouble.
There was a knock at the door.

“Come in.” Tsunade said.

The door opened and Jiraiya walked in.

“Using the door? That’s so unlike you Jiraiya.”

“We’ll I decided tp try something different.” he said grinning.

“So, what’s going on?”

“I just came by to make sure the scroll is still safe.”

“It is. I have it right here.” she said holding it up for him to see.

Jiraiya walked over to Tsunade and removed the scroll from her hand.

“So, Jiraiya....... How’s your research coming?”

“It’s going well. Very well indeed.”

“Oh, well that’s good. Maybe next time I can go with you and help.”

“Sure. That would be great.”

Tsunade threw a throwing star at him.

“Ok! Who are you?!” she demanded.

“What are you talking about? I’m Jiraiya! Your old teammate, one of the legendary sannin! You know the Toad Sage!”

“Your not Jiraiya.”

“Yes I am! Tsunade, how can I prove myself?”

“If you are Jiraiya what do you research?”

“You got me.” he said transforming back into his original form, “I thought my disguise was pretty good.”

“Kabuto. Set that scroll down.”

She threw a kunai at him, hitting his shoulder. Kabuto vanished into thin air causing the scroll to hit the floor.

“A clone?”

Tsunade rushed around her desk to retrieve the scroll, in all the confusion she didn’t hear someone enter through the window. Tsunade crumpled to the ground inches away from the scroll. She reached her arm out to grab it, but came up short. Before she blacked out she saw a pair of purple shoe walk over to the scroll.

Ayame felt sick as she was jostled about as Kabuto leaped from tree to tree.

“Kabuto-kun.....”

“What?”

“I think my breakfast is returning. Can we please stop.....”

“No.”

“You better stop unless you want my breakfast all over you...”

Her face turned a funky shade of green.

“Fine....”

He stopped and set Ayame on the branch he was standing on and held back her hair as she released her breakfast into the forest below.

“Better?”

“Much....”

He tossed her back over his shoulder and continued on. Ayame could feel the vomit slowly drying on her lips. She didn’t dare lick it off, for she feared the taste would cause her to barf again.

A while later the sun was starting to set and they were approaching a small shack. Kabuto walked over to it and tossed Ayame inside.

A few minutes later he returned with a wet rag and whipped off the dried vomit from her lips.

He then opened a package he had been carrying to reveal five onigiri. As he ate Ayame’s stomach growled. Her stomach was completely empty ever since she got sick.

“Here.” he said shoving one into her mouth.

She took a bite. He held it for her while she chewed..

“I can’t have you starving before we get there. I don’t know if Orochimaru will want to feed you or not. So, this might be your last meal for a while.”

She took another bite.

After they ate Kabuto went to sleep. Ayame couldn’t sleep. She tried again to get out of the binding holding her, only to causing it to get tighter. Maybe if she could inch her was out of the shed someone might see her and offer to help her. She carefully moved her self back in forth until she fell onto her stomach. She then started to inch towards the door.

After what seemed like hours she was so close to the door. During her crawl across the dirt floor she cut her chin on a rock. She must be a sight. Her clothes would be covered in dirt, her bleeding chin covered with dirt. She glanced up at the door. Only a little more to go. But she could feel sleep falling over her like a heavy blanket she couldn’t shake off. Her eyelids became heavy. She struggled to move only a little more before she gave into sleep.

When Kabuto awoke the next morning he saw Ayame collapsed on her stomach by the door.

“Stubborn brat...” he said picking the girl up and laying her in the back in a more comfortable position. He tried to clean her up the best he could and healed the cut that formed on her chin.

There was a knock at the door. Kabuto opened it to reveal an Anbu Black Op.

Oooooo! More later.
