Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

So, How'd I Do?

Here were my 2013 goals centered around theO. Which did I accomplish? Read to find out.

1. Draw more. I want to get in at least one picture per month. That way, I can do an end-of-the-year art meme. I think this goal is going to have a lot of sub-goals.

Mission accomplished! I just need to slap together that meme.

1-A. Draw fan art from series that I've never drawn from before. Self explanatory.

Done!

1-B. Practice drawing my characters. They need some development.

I got in some practice, but there's room for improvement.

1-C. Enter more Challenges. This year, there weren't a lot of Challenges that I was interested in. Heck, there weren't a lot of Challenges, period.

Need I say more?

2. Start my web comic. It's going to be about me and my OCs. There will be much craziness. This goal can be broken down further.

I think my inspiration for this particular web comic kind of died out. But I do want to make SOME kind of comic.

2-A. Learn to use my tablet. I want this comic to be as computer-centered as possible.

I LOVE MY TABLET! I think I'm getting better using it.

2-B. Learn to use Manga Studio. I've had it for quite some time, but never figured it out. And when I mean "quite some time", I mean the version I have is no longer current.

News flash: I have the current version. It is amazing. It makes SO much more sense than the older version I had. And I think I'm getting a pretty good handle on it.

3. Crack the Fan Art Top 25. Yeah, like that'll happen.

I cracked two of them! Wow. I know my time on the 1 Month one was short, but I did it.

4. Buy a scanner. I don't want to have to go to my parents' to scan anymore. It's a waste of gas to drive just for that purpose. I'll have to do a lot of shopping. Large scanners are expensive.

Didn't make this goal. I need to save up more. Especially since I have my eyes on a different one than before.

5. Write more. Poor "Rebels" is neglected. "Survival Instincts" needs an update. I have to figure out what else to add to my library as well.

I posted a bunch of new stuff. Still need to work on my multi-chapter stories more.

6. Make a wallpaper. I know the Wallpaper section is kind of dead. But I want to try my hand at one anyway.

Didn't do that either. And I apologize to Anime Galleries. It was Anime Stocks that infected my computer. Note to self: If a message comes up saying that you need to update something, CLOSE YOUR BROWSER IMMEDIATELY! Then scan for viruses EVERYWHERE!

7. Do my voice meme. It's still open. Ask me anything, so long as it's appropriate.

Done! Click meh. Almost done with the drawings I owe people, too.

8. Start a Challenge. I have SO many ideas. I just can't think of any of them when I get on theO.

I never actually did that. I just have too many ideas to pick from. And it doesn't help that I want to enter every Challenge that I come up with.

So that was 2013. All my incomplete goals automatically carry over to 2014 because I can't think of any new ones. Except maybe to use this World for more anime-ish things. And cosplay and post pictures of that.

Halfway Through the Year Goal Check-In

Here are my goals that I set at the end of 2012. This is just a check-in post to see how many I did so far.

1. Draw more. I want to get in at least one picture per month. That way, I can do an end-of-the-year art meme. I think this goal is going to have a lot of sub-goals.

So far so good.

1-A. Draw fan art from series that I've never drawn from before. Self explanatory.

Done!

1-B. Practice drawing my characters. They need some development.

I'm working on it.

1-C. Enter more Challenges. This year, there weren't a lot of Challenges that I was interested in. Heck, there weren't a lot of Challenges, period.

I entered a couple. Didn't win any, though. It's kind of a blow to my confidence that I almost never win (although I think I lost one due to the host showing sympathy to someone else). I've been shying away from the ones where really talented/popular people are entering.

2. Start my web comic. It's going to be about me and my OCs. There will be much craziness. This goal can be broken down further.

This could take some time. I re-read some of the parts that I wrote out. Many need elaborating. And I gotta work on the humor. And I have to figure out how to make conversations dynamic.

2-A. Learn to use my tablet. I want this comic to be as computer-centered as possible.

I'm working on it. My drawing isn't so smooth, though.

2-B. Learn to use Manga Studio. I've had it for quite some time, but never figured it out. And when I mean "quite some time", I mean the version I have is no longer current.

Again, I'm working on it. I might make some kind of short comic with it.

3. Crack the Fan Art Top 25. Yeah, like that'll happen.

I can't believe it, but I did it. Note to self: posting four drawings in 24 hours helps. Now I want to either make #1 on the One Week list, crack another Top 25, or make it onto the front page. Yeah, I want it all, but will it happen?

4. Buy a scanner. I don't want to have to go to my parents' to scan anymore. It's a waste of gas to drive just for that purpose. I'll have to do a lot of shopping. Large scanners are expensive.

I have my eyes set on a certain scanner on Amazon. It's about $200. Ouch. Haven't bought it yet.

5. Write more. Poor "Rebels" is neglected. "Survival Instincts" needs an update. I have to figure out what else to add to my library as well.

Destination has been added. I've rewritten part of Survival Instincts. "Rebels" chapter 3 underway!

6. Make a wallpaper. I know the Wallpaper section is kind of dead. But I want to try my hand at one anyway.

Not yet. I need inspiration. And a place to get anime screenshots without infecting my computer with a Trojan. Thanks, Anime Galleries. It may have been a year, but I haven't forgotten what you put my poor laptop through.

7. Do my voice meme. It's still open. Ask me anything, so long as it's appropriate.

Gonna close it soon and start recording. I also have to get going on those drawings I promised everyone. I was thinking of using Manga Studio and my tablet to draw them. It'll be a learning experience. I hope no one objects.

8. Start a Challenge. I have SO many ideas. I just can't think of any of them when I get on theO.

I've been typing out Challenge ideas. I'll start one once I get 30 Days of Art and my voice meme gifts out of the way.

Possible New Music World and Other Stuff I Gotta Do

This is going to be a post of random topics.

Random Topic #1: I'm thinking about starting up another World. I want the theme to be music. I was thinking of music reviews. I could do them, but it could take some time. You know me; I never get anything done. Heck, I don't even know where to start, especially with my owning nearly 200 albums. I'm kind of hoping that some of you would pick for me. I know you don't know my collection, but if you just shout out some random artist and album title, I'll review it if I own it. LOL, no one's gonna do this. Also, if you have other suggestions besides reviews, throw 'em at me.

Random Topic #2: I'm probably gonna close my voice meme soon. It's been up for nearly a year. I'm still having trouble with the software that I'm trying to record my guitar with. At least, I know a guy who knows a guy who can help me. What I'm saying is that I don't know when the meme will actually be up. But I will finish everyone's drawings, even if it kills me.

Random Topic #3: Speaking of drawings, I'm so behind on 30 Days of Art. I hope I can get my act together by the 28th. But that certainly won't be enough time to draw 22 drawings. Also, please note that I will be deleting the 30DOA World (or turning it into something else) once everyone has submitted everything. It's only fair that I keep it up as a reference for those of us who are behind. *Cough*me*cough*.

Random Topic #4: I'm going to review my New Year's goals and see how well I've done so far. I've accomplished a few things, I know, but I forget all the things on my list. I'll post my accomplishments in July. Just for my own reference.

Random Topic #5: Expect a really big fangirly post this July. By big, I mean in-depth. And maybe a little bit personal.

Random Topic #6: If you read my stories and want more, poke me from time to time, preferably by PM. When I know people are interested, it makes me want to write more.

This has been Keba Si Rota reporting live with a slight delay. Now back to your regularly scheduled whatever.

Goals for the New Year

I thought that since it's the end of 2012, I might as well list some goals for 2013. I'll mostly concentrate on artistic persutes and things that pertain to theO.

1. Draw more. I want to get in at least one picture per month. That way, I can do an end-of-the-year art meme. I think this goal is going to have a lot of sub-goals.

1-A. Draw fan art from series that I've never drawn from before. Self explanatory.

8. Start a Challenge. I have SO many ideas. I just can't think of any of them when I get on theO.

Wow. That's a lotta goals. And that's only for art. I have some guitar goals, but I don't want to list those 'cause this is a VISUAL art site. Then again, I do have some ideas about incorporating my music with theO... but that's for a later date.

So, since this is "Comment Day", what are some of your personal goals for the year?
