Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

Looking for Recommendations

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'll be going in for surgery in about two weeks. I'm looking to fill my time with anime and music while I recover.

First, let's talk anime. My main sources are Crunchyroll and Hulu. I'm also leeching off of my parents' Amazon Prime. Shh.... I do have a bunch of series queued up, but I don't know what to go with first. So if you suggest something that I'm already planning to watch, that's totally fine. I'll just move it up on my list.

In regards to music, I don't really care what you recommend, as long as it's not religious and/or country. Also, since I'll have a lot of downtime, I was wondering if you guys wanted me to start a new music World (click here for details). Depending on how good I feel, I just might.

Let's Try This Again

It's been a month or two since I deleted my "CD Collection" World. Nobody even noticed (LOL). I was thinking about starting up a new music World that wouldn't be so involved, since I never did have the time to review albums. I was just thinking about giving my opinions on various artists and stuff, and it wouldn't be limited to the ones I'm familiar with.

My biggest hesitation is that some of my opinions are unpopular, to say the least. Also, I might go on tangents like I do with KAAMP (it started out as an anime opinions blog, and now look at it!).

So... thoughts? If you'd want to read about my opinions, I might type up a few. Of course, you can give recommendations and ask me what I think.

All Over the Place

The title just describes where my mind is right now. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, the post.

I have three recordings now. That means more Challenge prizes to give out. That is, if anyone enters. (One person PMed me, and I get the impression that they want to submit a wallpaper... even though it doesn't work like that.) I really do hope people enter.

Speaking of music, I know every time I bring up CD Collection World, I get mostly silence as a response. If no one submits a review request by the end of the year, I'm going to delete it.

I've started on my SS drawing. So far, so good. I'm also trying to do another drawing that's kind of ambitious. It involves a character sitting in a chair. Also, perspective which I probably messed up on really badly. Well, gotta start somewhere, right?

Lately, I've been kicking ideas around for a new World. I was thinking about random awesome junk. You know, crazy videos, pointless musings, cute photos, top tens, and the like. If anyone remembers The Watercooler, you'll know what I mean. Of course, there will be guest posters. [Insert evil grin here.]

Finally, you know how I like hosting an event every year? I'd like to do it again, but I only have one idea so far. The idea is an OC countdown, ranked by popular vote. We wouldn't be competing against each other for OC domination-- everyone would do a countdown only with the OCs they have made, and other people would vote for their favorites. It's not the best idea, so if you can think of something you'd prefer to do, let me hear it.

Music Party on Saturday!

Remember when I said I was going to make a Challenge and the prize would be my original music? Well, I now have all the equipment to record!

So, I was thinking, would anyone like to see me do the recording? Maybe sometime Friday night? It would kind of be my kickoff to the Challenge, which I hope to post on Saturday.

I think JoinMe had an update that allows sound. If that doesn't work I'll switch to YouNow. Does anyone know of any other services? I've tried Picarto and didn't really like the experience, so don't suggest it.

So, who wants in?

Update: So, I was thinking I'd start between 6 and 7 Central time. Would any of you be able to make it?

Update part deux: My computer decided that now would be a great time to scan for viruses. This could take some time. Would you rather that I put this off for an hour and start around 7:30 Central or should I wait until tomorrow afternoon? There might be a bigger turnout tomorrow because it's a Saturday.

Update the third: I'm going to be pushing the schedule back a little. The stream will start on Saturday between 12:30 and 1:00 Central. I've also decided the Challenge will launch on the 11th. 'Cause that's how loud you're supposed to crank the speakers.

[INSERT WITTINESS HERE]

I can't even think of a proper title. Bleh.

Anyway, I have a couple of updates.

I'm suffering from an art block. I already missed the deadline for the Kagamure Challenge, and I don't think I'll finish my theO MMO thing in time. I guess I'm not doing OC October either. -_- It's a shame that I can't contribute more, but I just can't force myself.

What I've been focusing on more is music. I'm pretty sure my brother's friend will stop by to help me with my computer this coming week. At least I hope so. Then I can host my Challenge.

Speaking of music, I still haven't gotten a straight answer from anyone about what to do with my CD Collection World. Is anyone still interested in it? No one's given me any review requests yet (I get that it's hard to pick from 200+ choices, which is why I haven't just jumped in). I also should update my master list with more stuff. Please, please, PLEASE give me feedback on this.
