Deck Videos: Lunalight

Hello again everyone. So for those who don't know, today was the release date for a special booster set known as Sisters of the Rose. The neat thing about this set is that it features old and new cards for archetypes used by major female characters from each Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. In this set you'll find cards from the following characters:

  • Mai Valentine from the original Yu-Gi-Oh!
  • Alexis Rhodes from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
  • Aki Izayoi from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's
  • Anna Kozuki from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL
  • Serena from Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V

The set contains not only cards by used by each character in their respective series, but also totally new cards never before seen. The cards I was most looking forward to were the new Lunalight and Rose cards used by Serena and Aki respectively. Already some new deck videos featuring cards from this new set have already started to pop up on YouTube, so I've decided to post one of them. We'll begin with a video showcasing a variant of Serena's Lunalight monsters.

This unfortunately is the only new Lunalight deck video I could find so far, or at least the only good one. I found a couple of other videos earlier this evening, but I chose not to post them because they were either a little hard to follow or they used cards I just didn't agree with using. I'll check again in a few days for more new videos and add any more good ones to this post. One observation I will make about this video though is that the deck featured in it didn't use too many Link Monsters. That's not really surprising to me because Lunalight decks don't really need any Link Monsters on the field to set up the main zones for summoning multiple Fusion Monsters. You're basically just summoning one Fusion Monster and then evolving it into a much stronger form (Cat Dancer > Panther Dancer > Leo Dancer), and you only need one monster zone for that. In short, the Lunalights were one of the few ARC-V era archetypes not hurt all that much by the VRAINS era rule changes.

UPDATE: I found a few more new Lunalight deck video, so I thought I'd go ahead and add them to this post.

There are a few more new Lunalight deck videos out there, but I think these three pretty much cover the basic variants. I think of the three videos seen here, the first two are the best examples.
