This is a world designed to help people get their creative juices flowing and get writing! Prompts will be given in order to encourage creativity without the pressure of needing it to be perfect. Some of your posts will be good, some may be bad, but none of that matters. As long as you're writing, you're doing it right!

There will be a new prompt every week or so (subject to change), and if you'd like to show the world your work, you can post it in A Blank Page. Please mention at the top of the post if you'd like feedback such as suggestions and constructive criticism.

Remember, this is a judgment-free zone. The prompts are meant to get you writing. Sometimes they may seem silly, pointless, or strange. However, the hope is that through writing these silly, pointless, or strange stories, you will expand your horizons, as well as overcome potential writer's block.

You can join at any point. Just send me a message or leave a comment, and you'll be added to the guest poster list. Your posts can be as long or as short as you'd like.

If you want to take this whole writing thing a step farther, here is a list of RPG worlds on theO that you may enjoy.

Prompt 8

Your character is attending a slumber party this weekend! How does it go?

Is there talk of crushes? A game of truth or dare? Late-night baking? An all-night CoD playoff? Or will something more ominous occur, like disappearing guests or a possessed Ouiji board? None of the above?

It's up to you!

Prompt 7

Write for ten minutes using "I used to think..." as your starter.

Stolen from here (#100) because I was too lazy to try to think of one myself. Oops.

Prompt 6

Hey all, sorry I haven't been very good about updating this world lately. I'll try to be better about it in the future. In the meantime, another prompt:

Write an ending. Don't worry about the beginning or middle. Just the end.

Prompt 5

"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear" -Elf

Let's get your holiday on! It can deal with Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the winter solstice, or anything at all, really. Just make it nice and wintery. Your character will really want to put him/herself out there in order to spread....whatever feelings for whatever event. Have fun!

Prompt 4

Hey guys, sorry it's been so long since I've updated! College happened.

Anyway, this time's prompt:

Your character discovers a field of magical flowers. What happens next?

....I know it's lame. Just go with it, please. :'D
